Challenges and Opportunities Related to AI in Intellectual Property Protection – 23rd October 2024

On October 23, 2024, at the TVP headquarters at Woronicza 17 in Warsaw, a workshop titled “Challenges and Opportunities Related to AI in Intellectual Property Protection” took place. The event brought together numerous industry experts and representatives from institutions responsible for intellectual property protection, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences regarding rapidly evolving technologies.

During the workshop, Marcin Przasnyski presented practical applications of artificial intelligence in intellectual property protection, discussing tools and technologies that aid in monitoring and detecting infringements. In turn, attorney Joanna Przybyło addressed key regulatory aspects, focusing on upcoming changes in the Artificial Intelligence Act and challenges related to live-blocking of illegally distributed content.

The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the future of intellectual property protection in the context of advancing digitalization and AI development. Participants unanimously emphasized that the proper adaptation of legal regulations and the implementation of new technologies are essential elements in the effective fight against infringements.
