We have obtained the latest data on the audiovisual content piracy problem, including the the television content, in Poland. Presentation of the key findings of the report based on the provided data was prepared for Sygnal by Deloitte, and presented during the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communications conference held on May 23, 2023, in Sopot.
According to the report, 43 percent of the Internet users who watch video content online utilize pirate video services, and the revenues of such portals can reach annually the amount of PLN 355 million.
During the conference the key data was commented on by Teresa Wierzbowska, President of the Board of Sygnal (Cyfrowy Polsat S.A.), Karolina Makowska, Board Member (Warner Bros. Discovery), and Agnieszka Gotlibowska-Horoszczak, Vice President of the Board of CANAL+ Polska.
The entire report will be made publicly available in mid-June of this year.
