Educational series for Sygnał’s 20th anniversary has been launched

We launched the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Signal Association with a two-day training for police officers from Lower Silesia. The inauguration took place during a training course in Szklarska Poręba, the first in an educational series on the protection of intellectual property and the fight against TV piracy on the Internet, covered under the honorary patronage of the Commander-in-Chief  of Police.

The long-standing and excellent cooperation between the Police and Sygnał was discussed on Monday, at the opening of the meeting, by Sc. Lt. Ewelina Mączkorowska, Head of the Economic Crime Division of the Criminal Bureau of the National Police Headquarters. The head handed over to Teresa Wierzbowska, president of Sygnał, congratulations on the anniversary and wishes for further success in the field of combating the theft of TV content. Lt. Col. Grzegorz Marszałek, Head of the Department for Combating Economic Crime of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, spoke about how much training of this kind is needed.

As part of the training, officers heard what control word sharing is (Paweł Watkowski), streaming, IPTV (Adam Jankowski), how we cut off pirates from funding sources (Karolina Makowska) and what damage repair looks like in practice (Łukasz Sternowski). The participants then took part in a workshop section on the practical aspects of combating Internet piracy, the use of operational and investigative tools and the practical application of IT tools in criminal analysis for the purpose of combating crime against intellectual property. The workshop was conducted by police lecturers-practitioners.
