The District Court in Wieliczka has sentenced a man for illegal sharing of the signal (control word sharing) of Canal + and Cyfrowy Polsat TV platforms over the Internet. The operators received 526.3 thousand zloty as a compensation.
The sentence concerns a 33-year-old resident of the Krakow poviat who was detained in March 2018 for TV piracy on the Internet. The policemen in his house secured sharing servers, set-top boxes and computers.
