Signing of Cooperation Agreement with the Commander-in-Chief of Police

A new cooperation agreement between the “Sygnal” Association and the Commander-in-Chief
of Police was officially signed today at the National Police Headquarters. The document was signed by the representatives of the President of “Sygnal” Association – Teresa Wierzbowska, and Vice President of the Board of Directors, Karolina Makowska, as well as by the Commander-in-Chief, Chief Police Superintendent Marek Boron.
The parties pledged to continue cooperation in the organization and implementation of educational projects, conferences and seminars on the protection of intellectual property and combating copyright infringement, aimed at police officers. An important element of cooperation will also be the exchange of good practices and joint participation in research initiatives.
The partnership between the “Signal” Association and the Police Headquarters has lasted for more than a dozen years, with about 400 training sessions attended by more than 20,000 police officers and prosecutors. Past cooperation has resulted in the creation of valuable educational materials and the exchange of valuable experience.
The signing of the new agreement has confirmed the long-term, fruitful cooperation between our Association and the Police. Thanks to joint activities, we can more effectively improve the quality of training, which translates into increased efficiency in combating crimes related to violations of intellectual property rights, especially in the area of illegal distribution of audiovisual content.
