Cardsharing. Raids in 5 places in Poland

Policemen from the Cybercrime Unit of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Lublin  carried out official activities in a case concerning the activities of a group of people involved in the illegal provision of digital television signals using non-authorized devices, used for  cardsharing.

The officers searched five places at the beginning of March. Two in the Biłgoraj poviat, two in Kraków city and one in Rzeszów city. Policemen from Frampol, Provincial Police Headquarters in Krakow and Rzeszów supported the officers in Lublin. In each of these places, police officers revealed devices for the illegal sharing of television signal. Within two days, officers secured 4 computers, hard drives, 9 TV set-top boxes, several broadcasters’ subscriber cards, card readers and mobile phones.
